Him And Her

Him And Her short poem

As I stare into his eyes, my heart beats crazy fast.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Her eyes sparkle, like the stars above us, as her gaze makes my heart race.

His touch – it ignites me. It leaves me feeling warm and safe – like I’m home.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Her hand in mine – so warm and soft – it freezes time and I never want to let go.

His kisses leave me breathless. They give me more than butterflies; They give me a whole zoo. It happens every time and when he asks to be my forever – I promise to never say goodbye.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
I kiss her like she’s porcelain. Dear God am I so scared of breaking her. I love her like I’ve never loved before. I swear to always treat her like my queen, when she promises to be my infinity.

I am currently just a 17 year old, senior in high school, who uses poetry as an outlet for the good and the bad of my reality. I write to forget and I write to remember. I'm inspired by so many things, whether it be music, lyrics, poetry, stories, or experiences of mine or others. I just hope that one day my poetry can speak to someone the way many poets works have spoken to me. With that being said, I hope you guys enjoy my poems!
