Happiness Of The World

Happiness Of The World short poem

It was a big floor with full of shops and lights,
There I stood in a corner to watch the flow of people,
They seemed to me, a river flowing with all its might.
People were of different, in color and in size,
They talked different languages,
The way they walk, the way they talk,
Every thing looked so strange.
Some covered their body with full dress,
Some others were almost naked,
But no one bothered about others.
That was the thing which attracted me,
That was the thing which I wanted to be.
All were busy in grabbing something or the other from each shop
They grabbed and grabbed whatever they could.
All seemed happy when they achieved the goal.
But do they ever think, what ever they grabbed and earned,
will never be with them for ever.
They have to leave every thing for their loved ones.-
And go with an empty hand to an unknown place.
No one knows what they can grab there to make themselves happy.

I was working as the head teacher of a high school for many years.I have written many poems in English, Urdu and Malayalam. But i never had the confidence to bring it to the public .Better to say, i never tried for it due to lack of confidence. Now i got a platform to bring myself forward. Thanks to the editorial board of high on poems.I enjoy reading and writing.

God could have made another way for continuation of human, animal and plant reproductions, but He knew the creatures will make this earth a place of frustrations and in a moment of dejection and frustration, sex works as a remedy of the mental sickness. One may not confess but a moment comes in life when we like to become naked and vulgar. In my opinion you have pointed out that moment in a shy and slow tone. Liked your poem.

There is another world..…….well told .

I just read your poem. I anticipated knowing what those that were grabbing would accomplish. This was like a story that I wanted to know how it would turn out.
