Span Of Life

Span Of Life short poem

I bloomed like a flower in the wood-
the bees and flies danced around me.
they tried to touch my face..
but the wind protected me
the sun looked at me
it was too harsh and hot
the moon stared at me
it was so soft and cool
the weather peeped in
summer, winter and spring came one after another
my face became pale and wrinkled
my body stooped
I looked all around
I could see no flies dancing around
no sun or moon was looking at me
I wish, I could see atleast one bee dancing around.

I was working as the head teacher of a high school for many years.I have written many poems in English, Urdu and Malayalam. But i never had the confidence to bring it to the public .Better to say, i never tried for it due to lack of confidence. Now i got a platform to bring myself forward. Thanks to the editorial board of high on poems.I enjoy reading and writing.

The Fight For My Life

The Fight For My Life long poem

I’m a prisoner -A prisoner of my mind. I can’t be free. I can’t be me. Locked in by anxiety, interrogated by insecurity, and depression is barricading the door. With no room to breathe, I can feel my lungs collapse
