Story Of A Love Lost

Story Of A Love Lost long poem

You know that feeling you get
when all has been said; all has been done
when you know the good you’ll forget
and the fights, the words can’t be undone
When that first tentative kiss
as tongues crept slowly to entwine
first months of beautiful bliss
As knowledge came that you were mine
Then the slow river of time
bared its vicious teeth that erodes all
and sickness came to my mind
That brilliant boy began his fall
into the darkness long past
into the maw of the dragon’s call
and his morals failed to last
then started the fighting we know
of the things I should have shielded from
that was when our love took its blow
from the sins of a man and their sum
from that point on it was only a matter of time
before the jaws of love’s death snapped shut
from the failures of a sick and weakened mind
there is little else to say to this but:
I miss you, I should have kissed you before the plane
I wish the past could be undone, of course only in vain
I love you, I need you, I take all the blame
but you will be happy, for you shine brighter than the sun.
C’est la vie, my love, I lost you so I cry
All I can truly say is: Goodbye.

I'm merely a wanderer, seeking to set roots and call somewhere home, It's rather tiresome to be at the whims of the wind. So, for now at least, DC is home-base for me. Always hoped to one day be a published writer/poet, but I fear this art is a dying one. If I must be one of the last standard-bearers of it, then I would call myself lucky.

An Love Agony At 10:30 short poem

At 10:30, Silence Dispersed, every edge withdrew with dark, The moon was pale, still brightening as diamond spark, At the tree, an owl hoot, at surface dogs barked. Sudden, I heeded, the sound of footsteps was appearing from the street, exulted

Lost Passion

Lost Passion short poem

Alone and unwanted. Unnecessary and useless. Unable to satisfy. In need of replacing. The heat of the moment. Now died down. Left unfeeling. Mind still racing. A touch once hot. The passion now gone. No longer needed. No more devoured.
