Coats Valley

Coats Valley ode

Once I lived in Swaziland,
Away from my country my beloved homeland.
A beautiful country of Southern Africa,
Manzini and Mababane are its heavenly replica.
We lived in coats valley near the grove of guava trees,
My maid used to bring sweet guavas for free.
The valley was full of fruits and flowers,
A heavenly paradise in morning hours.
I could see the lofty mountains from my rear garden,
Our English neighbour had a dog named Tarzon.
I enjoyed the gorgeous sunrise scenes,
Behind the mountains,the radiating sun-beams.
Pacifying seasons all round the year,
No scorching heat, and no painful tears.
God’s universe is so perfect and beautiful,
He has blessed it with blessings plentiful.
There God has gifted me with a gifted son,
I thank my creator for this luminous sun.
So neat and so clean the whole country is,
What a magnificent display and a scintillating show-biz.
My expatriate friends from different parts of world,
I want to meet them flying like a bird.
We had a poultry farm on our backyard,
Multicoloured chickens and white fat hens,
My vivacious daughters’living toys in the pen.
With her beautiful writ she is a marvellous bard.
Gorgeous golden hens and cocks in the cage,
Sometimes roosters used to fight in rage.
A pair of white roosters tall and strong,
The feathered gate-keepers always chasing the wrong.
Our dog Armyni and the cat Farabi,
She wooed my heart with her playful tricks.
Swazis are well-behaved,humble and courteous,
They are very hardworking, helping and generous.
Their towns are well organised spic and span,
Lush green gardens are well maintained.
God has rewarded them with happiness and prosperity,
No beggars,no poverty no complex inferiority.
That reflects their snow white clean attitude,
I want to salute swazilanders with my humble gratitude.

Golden Valley

Golden Valley short poem

Blackened silence was holding the reflectivity, reality was on the run. Exile was complete. Dark secrets, standing on head remained buried in your chest absorbing all colors of sun. A night remembers the friends who went over the hills one
