Enough

Enough short poem

we all get there eventually
our own line in the sand
then its time to move on
with your hat in your hand
though not with regret
but with lessons well learned
bid farewell to the past
and the battle scars earned
just shake off the bad
as you pack up the good
knowing you tried
did the best that you could
it’s your life to live
it’s not up to the fates
so get on with it sister
your chariot awaits

The Moment Was Enough

The Moment Was Enough prose poem

We drowned ourselves in endless g&ts The glorious bounty of Wednesday happy hour Bathed in the light of hipster patio lighting And the faint smell of last night’s campfire So smoky I couldn’t feel your hand holding mine Our intention

If Only There Were Words Enough

If Only There Were Words Enough short poem

If only words were capable enough! To articulate how I felt, The delicate heaviness that dwelt In the crevice of my heart, And the hollowness I dealt When we had to part, The fear of a lonesome night, The sense
