Tribute To Grand Son

Tribute To Grand Son long poem

Tribute – on his Birth
I stepped into the evening
Of my life and lost interest in living
And thought of leaving
This wild world.
I was waiting
To see my grand son arriving
Into this wicked world smiling
Before me departing.
On the D-day he did arrive weeping,
But was gradually into sleeping.
He got up and started crying
The sight of mother milking
The hungry child is breathtaking
The thought of seeing
My child milk feeding
Her child was so refreshing
That I forgot that I was ageing
Than I started thinking
What a stupid thing
I would have been making
At the thought of dying
Without ever enjoying
The gods beautiful gifting
Now I am praying
God for his untiring
Forgiveness and blessing
for me to live everlasting

Tribute : On his 1st Birth day
(Pranav – The Charmer)
Oh Pranav my dear,
It is now a year
Since you have arrived here;
It was full of fantasy and sheer
Ecstasy to have enjoyed your
Pranks day in & out and mere
Smile of yours was enough to bear
The agony of my old age shiver
It is obviously clear
That when you are
With me so near
I shall never
Have any fear
Upon seeing your umpteen character
My memory rolls back to yesteryear
When I became a father
To a chubby and beautiful daughter
Who incidentally is now your mother
And I see you as her
Replica in looks and stature
All this has brought back my youth to sustain forever.
It is my deepest desire that you go up the ladder
And achieve the status of an unprecedented superstar
Now I have no qualms whatsoever
To bid good bye to this world of umpteen wonder
For you being my companion for the last one year
I have lived a life of over a hundred summer& winter.
Thanks a lot my little charmer
For changing my life once and forever
