Love Sonnet 35

Love Sonnet 35 sonnet poems

I swear, intoxicated, I am not,

Though high in spirits, but nary of wine,

That kiss, that kiss, how soon have you forgot,

Euphoria I could claim as rightly mine;

As thousand angels sing in harmony,

While Naiads bathe and play in nearby springs,

The meadow teems with floral rivalry,

A cloud shows up, though no raindrop it brings;

My memory of Eden was erased,

For here, no serpent dwells, no one forbids

To bask in love’s delight, with cares displaced,

Where claims of sorrow, joy always outbids;

…And so much more of endless bliss to keep,

…If not for dawn that woke me up from sleep.

♪ ♫ Well, I guess, it could be said that if my knowledge and wisdom were converted to wealth, I may humbly say, in all honesty, that I am not a millionaire. But if out of my two cents, you would agree to accept one of it, then, I could proudly say, in all modesty, that I have done charity.♥

She was a traveling soul. The galaxy resting above her nose. I’d sit & stare. Wondering where the stars would go next. Both young & in love I let go. Tracing together swirls of color. The planets all together aligned.
