Of Things

Of Things short poem

Of things we once had in comparison to now
were mom married to dad and a garden to plow
before pharmaceuticals and psychology books
we got, pull up your bootstraps or you’ll get dirty looks
long before fast food when kids were much slimmer
we heard put down the football and come in for dinner
preceding the web correspondence was clear
send a letter to gramma long distance is dear
no dungeons and dragons no Facebook me back
we rode bikes to the park where we hung out and yakked
and before big business raped our planet for gain
we had ozone, safe water, and no acid rain
the help wanted ads were hopeful and plenty
opportunities to prosper before you were twenty
technology reigns but has come at a price
living in the incredible …though missing the nice

Little Things Matter

Little Things Matter long poem

The world is a race If you want to succeed, pick up your pace Keep running, focus, put in extra hours, fly solo But doesn’t this make you feel empty and hollow? Be yourself, be silly, be alive, spread joy

So Many Things I Wanna Say

So Many Things I Wanna Say long poem

Crying my sorrows away in that dark lane where my memories bleed till this day, So many dreams I had, but these sleepless nights are crushing me everyday, All the time I think, would you remember me if I am
