Driftwood

I am driftwood
I only drift from shore to shore.

I cannot anchor, I cannot root,
I have no branches, no leaves, and no flowers.
I am driftwood which drifts far and wide with the current of the tide.
I am driftwood drifting in the sea of time,
swaying with the waves of anonymity and oddity,
no destination, no direction,
only drifting to reach the shore of eternity.
