My Grandmother

My Grandmother ode

My grandmother is truly grand to the letter
unique in every way, she made me better
My grandmother brought me out of the cold
delicate strong woman, she made me bold
My grandmother is a masterpiece all year round
in my tender years, from her back, I saw the world around
My grandmother is a real African woman
as I got older, she taught me about women
My grandmother is the best cook, always I want more
nothing compares to her food, although she is
hungry,she gives me more
My grandmother taught my mother all she knows
someday my mother would make a great
grandmother, I just know
My grandmother although old still takes care of
everybody
no longer so fine, not so sweet, old age does that to
everybody
My grandmother is truly the best, the light of the
family
love and care is all I want to give to my favourite
person in the family.
