The Wedding

The Wedding short poem

Flowers in the garden,
Smiles on their faces.
Daisies in her hair,
People filling the empty spaces.

The wondrous silence that ensues when she walks down the aisle.
Not believing the day has finally come,
she looks up to him and knows she has won.

The exchanging of vows and promises of ever after.
The air filling with applause, awes, and laughter.
They share some I dos and a beautiful moment.
They look to the crowd.
They feel the emotion.

I am currently just a 17 year old, senior in high school, who uses poetry as an outlet for the good and the bad of my reality. I write to forget and I write to remember. I'm inspired by so many things, whether it be music, lyrics, poetry, stories, or experiences of mine or others. I just hope that one day my poetry can speak to someone the way many poets works have spoken to me. With that being said, I hope you guys enjoy my poems!

The Wedding Photo short poem

They stood there smiling in black and white holding their fingers tender and tight. They knew the secrets of a past tense heart they knew of a future ’till death do us part’. They tell a story that starts with
