Remember when the days were good
And we were together,
Two fools, such tender,
We used to walk,
With similar gaits.
And I used to talk,
Stealthily looking at your face.
Those vibes from your touch;
Hues of love and lust,
So I did get paint in my eyes,
Blessings of those orange tinged evening skies.
As we stopped for some flights,
While others were with their lives.
When the flocks of returning birds,
Poured into the purple horizon
And the Earth was about to change sides,
I wanted to hold on,
Forever and on.

Am having those days again
When I peek beyond the white clouds,
And then pour down the rain,
A chill touch of joy runs down my vein.
Then the wind flickers my hair,
Whispers in my ear:
Boy take back,
Those tears shed in vain;
Else, it’s just another spring rain.
So I feel warm again,
Even under this chill rain.
As the chill ravine rush through my heart,
Carrying pebbles from the good days of past,
Girl you will stay, forever,
With such tender, beautiful face,
In the folds of good old time and space.

Who are you while you are reciting this stanza? I feel like the author loses track of self when saying “I peek beyond the white clouds, and then pour down the rain” Is the author the cloud or the one who starts the precipitation in the clouds? 🙂
