A Eureka Moment

I dived into empty space,
exhilarated,
arms outstretched
mimicking wings,
I flew like a bird.
Embracing the thrash
and lash of the wind,
which flapped the flesh on my cheeks,
and froze the tip of my nose.
The echo of my yell,
danced back and forth
betwixt the mountains
and her canyons.
The canopy snapped open,
I then rode the thermals
flying with peace and grace,
landing gently as a ballerina
onto a grassy green space.
Arms held high,
I yelled
“eureka.”

I love writing and reading poems, not so much the classics these days but knew fresh stuff I find that exciting. New styles and new ideas. Some people paint, or write books or do crafts to get the inside out, me I do poetry and read the inside of folk I love to write fun and nature poems the best though.

A beautiful poem of bliss and freedom in an empty space forgetting the conflicts and dis-satisfaction
of human life .

What a beautiful description, the words flow like a pleasant wind and the reader finds himself flying like a kite.

I took this beautiful write in a metaphorical sense. Symbolically, I think it proves the saying that ”No pain, no gain”. To reach some goal, you have to go through many obstacles and pains. It that a valid meaning?
And coming towards the content, this poem is one of the best free-verse poems I have ever read.. I dislike free verse but the word choice and the flow of your poem was so captivating.. An excellent write.
