Evergreen

Evergreen short poem

Only an idiot can think that you think of me like you did once before
Only a man whose shadow follows him especially when he’s down on his knees
I still cry in my heart just to think of us holding hands any more
Maybe tomorrow you’ll come see me and we can laugh and forget you were only seventeen
I still……. hold you in my arms…………… when I’m asleep
And it’s so hard………… not to glimpse to see………………………. if you’re across the street
I found love…….. but now………. it has gone
I found love…………………….. but it has gone
I found love…………………………. but it is done

I am a poet through and through and anyone that tells you different you must deny it and slap them across the face very roughly indeed. I love the normal things in life and turning them into mysterious meaningful emotionally attached fascinating object or subjects.
