Kingdom Of Dark

Kingdom Of Dark long poem

As I entered into the realm of dark
And stifled for a moment to hark
The dead souls that had turned into ghosts
Who wanted me to hold and not embark
Into the realm of dark
But I proceeded without further adieu
So I entered into the kingdom of dark
Many paths were there for me to cross
For I not knew which path to choose
So I chose the one which was not very stark

I kind of liked it
As nobody would mind it
There were paths long and short
And quizzical and dark
Paths that were catchy and some were quite edgy
Some were quite tricky but promising in the long run
And I tried to choose the easiest one
So I kept jumping from one to another one
But amidst all this jumping
And frivolous grumping
I was caught between a fit of jumping and only jumping
And soon I realized I was only dumping and shutting
Shutting one after another door
Of possibility and mental growth
And opportunity and self decor

For I failed and not knew
Which path to choose
So I failed and grew pale
For life was not a magical dale
Pale of mystery and confusion
Immersed in self delusion
I thought I could choose
But would grip something only to speedily lose
So I tried many paths
But didn’t like even one of those
So I grew much bored
With anger and self abhor
Of the repetitive nature of failure and remorse
Of not finding anything to hold on to
Of my life becoming a tennis court
Nowhere to stick to
For I lost the purpose
Of choosing and leaving
And I lost what I was aiming for
A sense of pride and galore
So I forgot the true passion
Nothing remained but aggression
So I am now stuck in the kingdom of dark
Waiting for nothing but that natural arch
Once possessed by creature very spark
To regain the sacred mark
And illuminate this kingdom of dark.
