Shakuntala: A Reflection!

Shakuntala: A Reflection! short poem

She has opened her eyes, to feel the beautiful smile in her mind!
Recollecting that he had promised…
She stepped out into the world, to feel the dew filled grass
Filling her with untold Love and solace…
Flowers had bloomed, spreading aromas of Love everywhere!
She never had to pick them;
as all blissfully came and settled of their own
Adorning her ears, neck and hair…
reminding her of the Love that would soon arrive…
Their touch blushing her and making her feel so light,
that she could have disappeared,
and would have settled to be a part of them…
A brush on her cheek,
butterflies gleefully teased, as they mocked and left their trace behind….
Black Drongo with its acrobatics, had broadened her smile!
It swirled and twirled in the air, and sang of Love divine…
Brushing past her eyes and wiping a drop of tear that has settled in there…
She was almost ready…
and as she thought of getting up from her flower adorned swing
The puppy had jumped on her lap lovingly
And, she knew that there can’t be an escape again!
